Why SPF is more important than any treatment — and how to choose the right Korean sunscreen.
UV exposure is the single largest driver of skin ageing — responsible for approximately 80% of visible facial ageing. No treatment, however sophisticated, can compensate for daily UV damage. SPF is not a cosmetic adjunct; it is the most important product in your skincare routine.
Korean sunscreens use the PA+++ system (UVA protection) alongside SPF (UVB protection). PA++++ is the highest grade. A Korean SPF50+/PA++++ provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA ageing and UVB burning.
For full UV protection: apply SPF50+ every morning, 2 teaspoons for the full face. Reapply every 2 hours in direct sunlight. This is not excessive — it is the clinically validated standard for meaningful UV protection.
